Free tours of Huế with local students

Student volunteers show you the Citadel, the royal tombs and the food of Huế — in English, as friends, not as a business.

  • Guiding is free
  • In English
  • You pay tickets, travel & your buddy’s meal

How it works

Three steps to a day with a buddy

  1. Book

Pick a tour and send the booking form — at least one day ahead.

  2. Plan

A buddy writes back and plans the day with you.

  3. Meet

Meet your buddy. Guiding is free; you pay tickets and transport for you and your buddy, plus your buddy’s meal.

Say hello like a local Đi mô rứa? “Where are you off to?” That’s how people in Huế greet a friend. Try it on your buddy.

From our guests

Not as a tourist, but as a friend

Let’s Hue is a great way to get to know the real Hue and meet new local friends in the process. … I’d highly recommend for you to get in touch with Let’s Hue and enjoy the city not as a tourist but as a friend.

My guide Linh was very knowledgeable and told me many things about the history of Vietnam and the citadelle. It was stunning how much she knows.
